2000-05 Volkswagen Jetta/Golf 1.8 K N & Drycharger installation
The K Drycharger included with this kit N? & must be installed on the air filter K N? & when used with this cold air intake system of K N? &. K N cold air intake system & a performance product that can be safely used during mild weather. During rough and adverse weather conditions, you must convert your cold air intake system in a short ram configuration, or your vehicle back to the stock OEM air box and intake tract configuration. Failure to follow these instructions, you may void your warranty.
Installation:
1. turn off the ignition and the negative battery cable.
Note: disconnect the negative battery cable pre-programmed electronic memories will be erased. Note all settings before you disconnect the negative battery cable memory. Some Radios require an anti-theft encoded to be introduced after the battery is connected. The anti-theft code is usually supplied with your owner's manual. In the case your vehicles anti-theft code not restorable, please contact an authorized dealer for obtaining your vehicles anti-theft code.
2. press the tabs on the side of the battery cover and remove as shown.
3. the negative battery cable First, then the positive battery cable as shown.
4. disconnect the mass air sensor electrical connection as shown.
5. loosen the hose clamp on the mass air sensor as shown.
6. remove the air cleaner cover screws as shown.
7. disconnect the air pump vent hose as shown.
8. remove the air cleaner cover as shown.
