2000 KIA Sportage timing belt installation and removal
This timing belt installation and removal apply for KIA Sportage year model 2000 with 2.0 DOHC engine (including DTC). Caution: If the toothed belt is, it must be newly installed to turn original direction check where that there no oil, grease or dirt on the timing belt. Timing belt installation step: set up the mating marks on the camshaft pulleys with the alignment marks on the seal plate. Install the timing belt, so there is no looseness on the tension side and the two camshaft pulleys. Loosen the clamp screw. Turn the crankshaft two Camplete revolutions in the direction of rotation. Check that the mating marks are properly aligned. If not properly aligned, remove timing belt and belt tensioner. Rotate the crankshaft to align "S" brand of exhaust camshaft pulley with the mating mark sealing plate...
